You can stop improving certain pages, but the site as a whole can always be improved. Content simply refers to the text on your homepage, your blog posts, videos you’ve produced, and any podcasts you’ve published. Focus on producing the best content you can – or pay someone to create it for you! Make it compelling, detailed, substantive, accurate and entertaining. Search engines also take into account the traffic generated by links from social
networks. It is assumed that these so-called “social signals” can influence a website’s
ranking at least when search queries relate to something current. You should use the ‘nofollow’ rule when linking to untrusted sources or in sponsored posts (Google doesn’t like paid links).
Think less about optimizing for specific keywords
Before designing a website, or even if your site is already designed, you should analyze the site’s structure. Each topic or area should have its own distinct section and flow logically so users don’t get lost, disoriented and frustrated. You need to analyze how your website is being viewed. Since the ascent of Google as the world’s #1 search engine, links have been the primary concern of most SEO practitioners. If you have redirect chains, the conventional wisdom is that the loss in link equity is compounded. If there are two redirects in place, that becomes 85% of 85%, or roughly 72%. The more redirects there are, the worse it gets. The shift to mobile devices has caused Google to change the methodology behind how it indexes and ranks websites.
Localise as many elements as you can
When people conduct research, they want up-to-date, accurate information. That’s why it’s important to keep content updated. Recency is becoming an increasingly important ranking factor in Google’s search algorithm and for good reason—your audiences don’t want to waste time reading dated content. Make a list of the top 10 business directories and build an engaging, content-rich business profiles on each of them. For me internal linking is one of the most undervalued aspects of SEO, with many sites having inefficient menus and/or poor site structures. Make sure that your website’s main menu only features the most important categories.
User-friendly Content — Because it Matters
The reason you want natural, helpful, informative links is that you don’t want to have to constantly replace links ignored by the search engines and you don’t want to suffer from penalties and downgrades. Link acquisition should happen without anxiety. Many marketers are now promoting that stuff like link building is dead and so on. Let me tell you, link building is not dead. If you want to improve google ranking of your webpage, you must focus on building backlinks. Similar to writing an outline for a large paper, put some thought into what the main points and subpoints
of the content on the page will be and decide where to use heading tags appropriately We asked an SEO Specialist, Gaz Hall, for his thoughts on the matter: "Without a doubt keyword research is the first and foremost step towards a successful search engine marketing campaign."
Make use of long-tail & exact match anchor texts
Results driven, intelligent search engine optimisation. Anybody can optimise a site with a little know-how. Your target keywords should be in the H1 tag. Your H1 however can be different from the title tag. It doesn’t have to be – you won’t be penalised for having the same title tag and h1 tag for a web-page (after all, most CMS generate this automatically) – but varying the keyword phrasing of both can increase your chances of appearing for different search intents. As much as it's important to try out new things and experiment with SEO, one thing remains constant -- the importance of title and meta tags. Optimizing your website will invariably lead to more organic traffic later on in the life of that website, so there’s no reason you shouldn’t do it.
